01 The quantum threat
We are at the brink of a computing revolution, one that will render the majority of mathematical cryptographic protocols obsolete. And bad actors aren’t waiting. They are intercepting and storing encrypted data today, keeping it for the time when decryption takes minutes, not eons.
02 A global quantum fabric
By harnessing quantum properties like entanglement, we can ensure that cryptographic keys remain invulnerable to interception. Paired with traditional cryptographic techniques like the one-time pad and AES, we can create a system that is both naturally and perpetually secure.
03 How our QKD solution works
Our integrated approach to quantum communications, including terrestrial and satellite QKD technologies and PQC, sets the foundations for the backbone of a global quantum internet.
04 Quantum-Safe Satellite Network
SpeQtral, a spinout from the Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT), is leveraging over a decade of R&D heritage in the niche field of space-based quantum communications. SpeQtral's founding members were part of the team that was the first in the world to launch a miniaturized entangled photon source on the SpooQy-1 mission that demonstrated quantum entanglement in space in 2019.
SpeQtral is now advancing this technology to launch satellites that will enable end-to-end space-based QKD for commercial use cases.
05 Quantum-Safe Terrestrial Network
SpeQtral and Toshiba Digital Solutions Corporation (Toshiba) have been in collaboration since 2021 to bring fibre-based QKD solutions to governments and enterprises in Southeast Asia. Toshiba has over two decades of experience in the development and manufacturing of fibre-based QKD devices with industry-leading performance.
SpeQtral is currently rolling out the National Quantum-Safe Network Plus (NQSN+) in Singapore, together with various partners. This new network will enable island-wide commercial quantum-safe services and solutions.
